When a door or window is opened, this expert Sensor wirelessly signals any X10 Home Security System's Base Receiver about the intrusion. Self-checking for professional reliability Greater range & battery life than the DW534 Works with any X10 Home Security System Product Name: X10 Door/Window Sensor DS10A Description: Works with any X10 security system. These sensors send wireless signals to the main console when a door or window is opened. Each sensor is supervised (self-checking) for professional reliability. Features: Battery operation, self checking; unit reports to main console every 90 minutes, delay switch. 100' + RF range. Details: The DS10A sends a radio frequency (RF) Signal to any X10 Home Security System's Base Receiver. You can add up to 16 door/Window Sensors to the systems. This can be a combination of Door/Window Sensors and Motion Sensors. E.G. 8 Door/Window Sensors AND 8 Motion Sensors. See your Security System Owner’s Manual for more information. When a door or window is opened the Sensor sends a wireless signal to the Base Receiver. When the system is NOT armed, the Base Receiver chimes when a door or window is opened. When the system IS armed, the alarm is tripped when a door or window is opened. Sensors send a self-checking; transmission approximately every 90 minutes. The Base Receiver will not arm if a Door/Window Sensor hasn't reported in (can be overridden by pressing the Base Receiver's Accept Button). There are no code wheels or tiny switches to set (for ease of installation). A random code is automatically generated during set-up, which uniquely identifies each Sensor. The Base Receiver logs-in each of these random codes as the net sequential zone (16 zones). The sensor uses two standard “AA” alkaline batteries (not included) to provide 1 year + of operation. Note: As with all radio frequency transmitter devices, electrical fields, metal doors or door/window frames, and appliances can cause interference that decreases the strength of a transmitted signal. Re-orienting the sensor or putting the console in a higher location may increase your ability to send and receive the necessary signals. SHIPPING DISCOUNT All items are shipped via USPS First Class and Priority mail based on the shipment weight unless otherwise noted. We charge only 50% shipping for each additional listing** if they are purchased within three days and paid for at the same time with a single PayPal transaction. If you are unsure of your shipping cost after purchasing multiple items please request an invoice. Shipping charges are automatically calculated and refunds will not be made if items are paid with separate transactions.**Shipping will be calculated using the rate for the highest price shipping first with additional items to be charged at 50% stated shipping price. We will ship your items in a single package even if you pay for your items with multiple PayPal transactions.International Customers Please ReadIf you are requesting shipment to International destinations please understand that it may take three or four weeks for the items to arrive and clear customs. All items are shipped USPS International First Class or USPS International Priority Mail dependent on weight. No tracking or delivery confirmation information is available to International destinations and although we guarantee the items will be shipped if you do not purchase insurance we DO NOT offer refunds for non delivery of purchases.We have chosen to run a very legitimate and legal business so we are not able to ship items to other countries and mark them as a gift or a zero value. The shipping price is not included in the valuation of the item. RETURN POLICY All orders from X10 Automation may be returned within 7 days for a refund. In order to return or exchange all/or part of your order, you must contact us for a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#) by sending an email request to ebay@x10-automation.com along with the original Ebay ID and PayPal transaction ID.All returned merchandise must be in the original packaging including manuals, accessories, cables, etc. with the authorization (RMA#) clearly printed on the outside of the package. Return requests must be made within 7 days of receiving the items. All free items must be returned together with purchased items in order to receive a refund. Any shipping and/or handling charges on the original order cannot be refunded. We must levee a restocking fee of 15% of the cost of items returned.X10 Automation is not responsible for shipping costs or damage on returned items. Units to be returned should be packed carefully. Please be advised that packages sent by normal US Postal Service cannot be tracked to ensure delivery.
