Among its collection is the famous Paradiesgarten vineyard, which is universally known for producing highly concentrated Riesling wines, like this Kabinett. Full of fine peach and citrus aromas, the Paradiesgarten Kabinett exhibits a refreshing balance of fruit and acidity with a crisp, soft finish of mangos and ripe melon - truly a delicious wine! The 2005 vintage was one for the records. Hardly any fruit was removed before pressing as all vineyards offered healthy and mature grapes. This is probably the finest effort from Meddersheim producers during our long and successful relationship we have enjoyed with them over the years. The weather conditions were so perfect that there were too many grapes for the wineries. So, Winemaker Matt Praetzel was able to hand pick the finest Cabernet grapes from select vineyards along the Estrella River in Paso Robles. Barreled in French and American oak for seven months to round out the tannins of the wine, strong aromas of dried currant, black pepper and anise complement your palate. The wine finishes with dark fruit and dusted mocha flavors. This is a hearty wine that will be a great partner to steak or a juicy veal chop. Your nose will tickle from the pink grapefruit citrus notes and leave you craving a mineral water bath with its spring rain shower and lavender herb scents.
