This Cedar Hot Tub was bought from http://snorkel.com/index.php it's their top of the line tub. The tub measures 7 ft in diameter and 4 ft deep with three sitting benches. The tub comes with a snorkel stove, filter, pump and stairs and cedar cover top.
We invented the Underwater Woodstove
The original Snorkel® Stove was created by Roger Evans while he was a physics student at the University of Alaska in Fairbanks. The concept of wood-fired hot tubbing was so appealing to family and friends that Roger and skiing buddy Blair Howe formed a company to market the stove and wood hot tubs. The concept of the underwater wood stove for hot tubs was so unique that it was awarded a United States Patent, number 4455997, in 1981. The Scuba® Stove was developed later and is a smaller version of the Snorkel® Stove designed for smaller hot tubs.
The basic design and operation of the Snorkel® Stove are very simple. It works just like any other wood stove or fireplace, as shown below. The only real difference is the fact that the burning chamber is submerged.
Above-water air intake
Stove door/air regulator
Underwater firebox
Heat exchange tubes
Mounting brackets
Corrosion-proof powder-coat finish
Cast aluminum door won’t rust or warp
Simple and easy to clean
Snorkel® stoves: 120,000 BTU,standard with 6’ and larger diameter tubs
I paid over 5,000 dollars for the tub, stove and stairs and accessories and willing to seel it here on ebay to the highest bidder. The tub sits on a patio and needs to be moved in one piece but it is possible to take apart but you will need to order new rings if this is done. The buyer will make the arrangements to move and transport the tub. It's located in 01606 zip code.
On Apr-24-08 at 06:47:28 PDT, seller added the following information:Please note that this tub is in a location that makes it impossible to roll out, it needs to be lifted or disassembled. If you would like more pictures of the location and what needs to be overcome to remove the tub from it's current location contact me at KevinDuaneTaylor@aol.com
The diameter of the tub is 6ft 7 inches and I think it weighes around 500 lbs without the stove, so 4 or 5 people may be able to lift it and carry it over the 6ft wall. I don't know why it show's up as Free Shipping but I am clearly stating that this is to be moved and transported by the buyer, I can help. I have a nice suppy of firewood too that you can have.
On Apr-25-08 at 04:36:57 PDT, seller added the following information:I asked the Snorkel Stove how much this would weigh without the stove and they told me 350 lbs and the tub was purchased in 11/3/03 so that makes it about 4 1/2 years old. I also have a 50A electric heater that I use to maintain the temp at an even level and for overnight, but I am not selling it with this item. It's an option. On Apr-25-08 at 05:22:40 PDT, seller added the following information: I also have 2 large solar panels 12'x4' that can be used to heat the water, this is an option too.On Apr-25-08 at 11:55:16 PDT, seller added the following information:If the Bid goes over 1500.00 I will throw in the 50Amp heater and if the Bid goes over 1700 I will throw in the solar panels too. |
