Up for auction is a Johnson 220vdc motor. These motors are a cheap way to start producing your own power. All you need is a set of blades and you're ready to go. I have not made any wind turbines out of these yet, but have had the chance to play with them a little. Turning the shaft at about 480 RPMs gives you 12 volts. There is no amperage data on these motors. They measure  1 5/8" in diameter, 4" long including the shaft, the shaft is 3/16" in diameter x 3/4" long. These motors pack a lot of power into a little body and will fit nicely into a 2" peice of pvc pipe. I plan on sticking a couple at the end of the shaft on my LAWN ORNAMENT wind mills, turning them into useful devices. There are plenty of places here on Ebay as well as the net for you to get blades from, but if you want to make your own here's a couple places to start.
