This is a 9 inch collector's plate by Wendell August Forge.  It is in the golden, copper-like color and depicts the signing of the Declaration of Independence with the dates 1776 - 1976 and all of the signatures bordering the lower half of the picture.  The upper border is a patriotic star burst, enhancing the Americana theem.  This plate had been mounted to velvet and then framed - there are remnants of the adhesive/epoxy used which I couldn't remove for fear of damaging the plate.  This plate shows its age (32 years) and has patina changes.  It would make a great addition to any Wendell August Forge or American collection.  Please ask if you have any questions.
