DESCRIPTION: This is a pair of vintage wood shutters that work very well and are in very good condition. What you see in the 1st picture is what you get- a pair of shutters or if you want you can remove the center hinges and have 4 individual panels which would be 9" wide The "front" side- which faces into the room- is stained brown but the back side isn't stained as dark as the finished side and in some areas it looks very light. In the picture that shows only the top section of a shutter you can see that there is a strip of horizontal wood that is the dividing line between the top louvers and the bottom louvers. There are 2 panels (one for the left side of the window that is actually 2 pieces hinged in the center and one for the right side that is also 2 pieces in the center)- each panel has 4 separate louvered sections- 2 on the top & 2 on the bottom which , so when both sides are opened over the window makes 8 little louvered sections (4 across the top & 4 across the bottom) Each complete panel of 4 little louvered sections (2 on the top & 2 on the bottom) is 48" Tall x 18" Wide so -adding the two panels together are 36" wide You will need new hardware. There is a hook at the center so they can be locked in the closed position. CONDITION: Vintage -so there are little bunps & bruises here and there but all the shutters are attached and open/close very well . Sold AS IS.
