If you don't want to wait around for this auction - MAKE AN OFFER on my BUY IT NOW ACTION for this (auction #330227608392)  or other products!!!  I will never be insulted at an offer and you may be pleasantly surprized what I will do!    I accept all reasonable offers and will repond with a counter offer to any offer I cannot accept.   Try it!   Practical Garden Ponds presents this auction for a SAVIO FULL SIZE SKIMMER.      Learn more about ME and see pictures of a couple of my ponds on my eBay ME page (Just click on the "ME" in the meet the seller section in the top right hand corner of this auction).    For a FREE INFORMATION SHEET on "PLANNING AND INSTALLING YOUR PRACTICAL GARDEN POND" contact me by email!   nate@practicalgardenponds.com   I moonlight maintaining and installing water garden’s (ornamental ponds).    In my part-time work as a pond installer I have gained a familiarity with many pieces of pond equipment and I have formed some pretty strong opinions about what does and does not work well.     I will tell you right now that one piece of equipment that really takes the time and effort out of pond maintenance is a Savio Pond Skimmer.   Now since there are many pond skimmers on the market, you might ask, why Savio?   And the answer is NOT “just because that is what I sell”.  In fact, I sell other less expensive skimmers and will gladly start an auction for you on one of them, but the Savio Pond Skimmer is one of my all time favorite pond products!     That is because it is so well engineered.    The value of any skimmer is that it is designed to pull in leaves and debris BEFORE they sink to the bottom of the pond.    It is a lot easier to remove debris from your skimmer at the edge of your pond than to vacuum the decaying matter up out of the rocks at the bottom of the pond.   Also a skimmer box hides and houses the pump and cords making your pump easily accessible yet the pond is more esthetically pleasing.  If you have a bog filter, it will also need less maintenance because the skimmer will pre-filter the water before it enters the bog but without the hassles associated with less professional “pre-filters” which clog and require frequent maintenance.    The Savio skimmer is especially great because of the following features: 1.     It is available in two sizes.  a.      The “Savio Compact”, which is good up to 3,500 gallon ponds.  It is smaller requiring less digging.  It is available with two weir sizes; six inch or eight and a half inch. b.     The original “Savio Skimmer”, which is considered proficient from 500 to 8,500 gallons.   It is available with three different size weirs to accommodate larger or smaller ponds.   2.     Savio has a durable and rigid design.  (When I worked pond retail I used to stand on top of it to illustrate this point and I am a big guy!)   When this is buried in your yard people won’t be likely to get hurt or ruin your skimmer if they step on it.  That is not the case with many brands. 3.     The Savio has a rigid, easily removable skimmer basket AND a separate filter pad.  The basket removes large debris and leaves.   Rinse and reuse the filter cartridges over and over again for a long time as well.   (See photos 3 & 6) 4.     No silicone is needed in installation because of the easy to use and reliable built in gasket!   5.     By far the most exciting feature however is the option of adding a U.V. clarifier inside the skimmer box!  No hoses to connect and disconnect.  To remove the U.V. for the winter (in four season climates) just unplug the unit, twist, and lift!   That sure beats digging up a buried U.V. and fighting with the clamps and hoses.  6.   There is also an optional realistic looking but lightweight artificial stone lid that is sold separately (just ask if you want an auction for this!)  See more details about this great skimmer on Savio's web site at http://www.savio.cc/pond-products/C11/     When I give an estimate to install a brand new pond for someone, I always price out the pond with a Savio Skimmer, a U.V. clarifier, a reliable pump, and either a live planted “bog filter” returning the water to the pond via a gorgeous waterfall (which also provides aeration), or another filter.   When I install a pond like this, I literally guarantee “no green water” and I have never been called back to a pond installed with this configuration for a cloudy water problem.  Never.   (See picture 2 for a true example of one of my ponds and the water clarity you can expect with the proper use of these four pieces of equipment.)   The only thing better than this configuration is a skimmer and an Ultima II Professional Filter.  That is really the best because the dirt is removed from the pond and is not collecting under the bog.    This auction is for a current model year, full sized unit and the price of this auction includes both the base unit AND your choice of weirs (faceplates).  Request a 6” faceplate where you are going to be using a pump of 500 to 3,500 gph.  Request an 8.5” weir for pump sizes 1200 to 5000 gph.  And ask for a 16” weir for pump sizes of 2000 to 8,500 gph.   Note:  This Skimmer accepts one or two of the optional 26 or 50 watt UVinex UV lights (sold separately).  My products are brand and fully warrented!   A pump and discharge kit are not included but are recommended suppliments to your skimmer purchase.   A brand new SAVIO SKIMMER UNIT (original full sized model) and YOUR CHOICE OF WEIR (faceplate) is what you will recieve!   These products are ALL BRAND NEW, FIRST QUALITY, dropped shipped straight from a certified wholesale distributor and these products come with any and all regular manufactures warrantees.   (This equals good prices for you because of low overhead for me).   J      The only thing I ask is that you understand that as with any drop shipping program it is always possible for an unusual rush to catch the distributor off guard and cause a product to be back-ordered without my being aware of it ahead of time.  If that should happen, I will contact you immediately and offer you a quick painless refund or the option to wait a couple of days or weeks – your option.   But please please please – I am all about customer satisfaction so if anything displeases you don’t panic – contact me with any questions or problems.    I am able to offer you many fine pond products at unusually low prices delivered right to your door!   If you have other pond items of significance that you need please email me and if I can do so, I will be happy to start an eBay auction for the exact item that you have requested.   This includes but is not limited to the following items:  ·        Pumps. ·        Filters ·        Skimmers ·        U.V.
