The "rigifix dry lined wall fixing system"
is now available in the UK from the manufacturers Deltaleigh Ltd of Halifax,
West Yorkshire.
It enables the fitting of brackets on to a dry lined
wall, transferring the loading away from the plasterboard directly in to the
masonry wall behind , bridging the cavity. They come in just two sizes: M6 (
if your bracket has 6m fitting holes) and M8 ( brackets with 8mm fitting holes).
Fitting is easy: Mark out where you want the fixings
using yr bracket as a template. Drill a hole directly through the plasterboard
in to the masonry behind ( M6 = 12mm dia drill / 100mm deep from top of plasterboard.
M8 = 16mm dia drill / 110mm deep from top of plasterboard) Insert nylon plug
With the allen key screw the metal sleeve in to the nylon plug (this expands
the nylon plug and grips the masonry) Put set screw bolt through yr bracket
and screw into the center metal sleeve of the rigifix,. Repeat for all fixings
you require and that's it.
I'm selling them individually because I do not know
how many fixings yr bracket will require. I've included delivery / postage in
the price for UK deliveries. Off shore please contact me .
This product solves the problem of fixing to a dry lined
wall.
One last thing: The rigifix can act as a normal anchor
in to a traditional plastered/block wall.
