First rinse the electrode with distilled water, and suck it with filter-paper. Turn the meter on by pressing the ON key. Immerse the pH meter electrode in the solution to be tested. Stir gently and wait for the reading to stabilize. After use, rinse the electrode with water to minimize contamination. Turn the meter off by pressing the OFF key. Store the electrode with a few drops of distilled water or ionized water in the protective cap. Always replace the protective cap after use. Notes The glass bulb of the electrode is fragile. Treat it carefully. Do not touch it by hard tools and fingers. Suck the water on it gently when cleaning. Clean the electrode with distilled or ionized water every time before and after use. pH Calibration: Immerse the electrode in pH 6.86(under the temperature of 25 deg C) standard buffer solution of phosphate, and gently shake the electrode. Allow the reading to stabilize and with a small screwdriver turn the calibration trimmer inside the battery compartment until the display shows is corresponding the calibration solution. Immerse the electrode in pH4.01 or pH9.18 the standard buffer solution of borax. After about one minute, until the buffer solution value corresponding to the measurement temperature is obtained. Important notice: The instrument's pH range must be re-calibrated whenever. Approximately one month has passed from the last calibration.
