This auction is for one StephanFerdinand center finder. New In Box.30 day satisfaction warranted or your money back and one year warranted against defects of materials or workmanship. This is NOT a cheap rusting China made. It is a Stainless Superalloy hand lapped to near perfection by master craftsmen in Costa Rica. Usage and applications: This tool is used to position the milling machine within 0.0005" from the true center of a small hole (less than 1/2" diameter). Regular center finders have a spring-loaded conical tip that is used with the spindle turning. This Standard is completely solid and must be operated with the spindle STOPed; giving much better precision when used whit high accuracy tool clamps like ER and 5C collets.   Chuck  (or ER, 5C, R8, etc..) the center finder into the milling machine's spindle. Move the table until you are close to the hole. Lower the quill to approach the tool to the hole. Readjust the table. Lower the quill some more. Repeat until the center finder is perfectly sitting in the hole. Tighten the brackets. You are within 0.0005" of true center. Lift the quill and install the tool you want to use (drill, mill, reamer, counterbore, etc).
