Therefore, any locking mailbox narrower than 10" is not approved and your mail carrier is not obligated to deliver to that mailbox. (All of our mailboxes meet or exceed this requirement.) This XLARGE Mail and Package drop is made entirely of heavy-duty reinforced aluminum and features both a FRONT AND REAR access locking door. (Post sold separetely) The front and rear door design provides maximum safety for YOU. If your mailbox is next to a high traffic street, it allows you to retreive your mail from the back of your mailbox instead of having to step out onto a busy and dangerous roadway to collect your mail. Mail is deposited through a non-locking access door on the front and is big enough to accept all large envelopes, catalogs, magazines, and most medium to medium large packages. There are many large mailboxes on the market today, but very few of them have an opening as large as 11" x 5" = plus, an outgoing tray that measures 11" x 4". The extra internal shelf (see diagram) will protect your packages from damage when dropping to the bottom of the mail bin. Each unit includes two installed locks with two (2) keys for each door (keyed alike), an adjustable red signal flag, and the words "US MAIL" embossed on the door. These mailboxes come in a Black, White, Green, or Silver powder-coated finish which gives 100% protection against rust and corrosion.
