I have an old Lectro Flate cigarrette lighter powered air pump in the box from around 1961 ( what I coul dfind about it). Its used for blowing up air mattresses and water toys. It comes with a pretty good box for being almost 50 years old. Theres a few scuffs here and there, its not a mint box but its in really good condition. The pump itself appears to be in really good condition too. THe hose it comes with appears to be brittle or stiff. I didnt mess with it too much.I plugged int eh pump into my cigarrette light in the jeep and it works. It has pressure. I put my finger over the nozzle and could feel a steady stream of air pressure. I cant guarantee how well it will work if you opt to use it daily, as it is almost 50 years old. It looks like something Ward Cleaver would have. Its pretty heavy for its size compared to todays electric things.I could only find an advertisement for these in a 1961 outdoors magazine edition.Box says 'Plugs into your auto dash board' - "Air mattresses, balloons, inflatable decoys, beach balls, floats, inflatable toys, boats, backyard pools, bait aerators, station wagon mattresses, inflatable cushions, etc, etc.' "Fits all types of valves and openings" Its stepped down in rings for smaller or larger holes.Everything appears to be intact and original. I dont know much about things from this era but seems like it is well designed. It would be nice to add to a car display, especially a station wagon or beach vehicle.Thats about all I know about it. I plugged it in and it worked but I wont guarantee anything being as old as it is. I would think it would be more of a collectible or display piece but who knows.
