Top quality 'Greenbrook' brand 'Gold' effect 240 Volt, 6 amp, 2 way ceiling pull cord light switch, in original sealed & unopened retail 'blister pack'. Suitable for all lighting circuits (loads up to 1000 Watts) and any indoor location, but particularly suitable for bathroom use (although not suitable for switching showers). Although the switch is 2 way (which means it can be used in installations where the light can be operated by 2 seperate switches) it can also be used as a normal 1 way switch, thereby offering maximum flexibility. The switch is supplied complete with a White braided nylon pull cord, with a White plastic 'pull' knob at the end. However (as with most quality pull cord switches) the cord has a joining piece near the top, which facilitates simple renewal of the cord should this ever be required. Either to fit a standard replacement White cord or, for example, one of the many different decorative pull chains available on the market (several of which are also available in my other listings!) The 'Gold' effect top cover plate of the switch is the part which actually screws to the White base, unlike other cheaper versions, where the 'Gold' finish is acheived by means of a thin 'Gold' cover plate, which fits over the standard White one. Please Note Although the switch is brand new & still in its sealed original packaging, as described. Whilst (due to the reflective Gold finish) this cannot be seen in the picture, there is a very slight mark visible just below the hole in the centre of the switch, where the pull cord exits. The mark is very slight & appears to mirror the shape of the braid in the pull cord, so i can only assume that this has been caused during transit / storage, where this area of the switch is in contact with the front of the packaging. As the switch is sealed in its pack, i have not attempted to remove the switch from its packaging to see if the mark will rub off, but either way, the mark will not be noticeable from the ground, once the switch is installed on a ceiling.
