This delicate little coil basket measures 2 1/2" tall.  The top opening is 1 1/2" across, the bottom is 2" across and the lid is 1 1/4" tall.  It was obtained by my ex-husband in the late 1990's while he was doing construction work in the villages of the Kuskokwim and Yukon River system.  It is made from hand woven native grasses.  It looks like the brillant designs were donw with native dyes on native grasses.  I displayed it on a shelf for years so one side is faded.
