STEALTH DECKING FASTENER from Deck One, delivers a flawless no-nail finish with superior strength, durability and safety that is easy to install. Stealth is a decking fastener which is nailed to the side of the joists. It rises up between the boards of the deck and secures them with spikes that side pierce the board to a depth of 1/2" (12 mm) in both directions. The 3/16" (5 mm) wide riser mounting for the spike acts as a spacer for the boards. The fastener shoulder sits on the edge of the joist to take the downward load and provides a ventilation gap of 1/16" (1.2 mm) between the decking boards and the joists.
