The valance is a scalloped valance - professionally sewn, fabric is not bunched up anywhere; presses flat. The face fabric is a medium-weight drapery cotton with a slubbed texture - named TASMAND and it's made by the high-end designers at Richloom. The fabric is simply too stunning to describe. It has a black background with red, amber, green, gold, and blue prints. It also features one of the most expensive trims available out there - beaded fringe. The fringe is a ruby and gold 2.5" trim. Even though the face fabric is a sturdy drapery cotton, the valance is fully lined with a sturdy white drapery lining, giving it extra strength. This valance has a 3-inch rod pocket. The photo portrays the valance on a flat rod. However, if you strive for the look of a rich cornice, you can create that illusion by installing the valance onto a continental rod (see measurements above).
