Duplex Bunkie Plans (8 by 24) Duplex Bunkie 8 by 24 This design evolved from our very propular 8 by 12 bunkie. It's two bunkies side by side on one foundation. The doors and windows have been relocated to create a small kitchenette on the common wall in each unit simplifying plumbing and increasing privacy. This design is perfect for two groups sharing a small lakefront property or even for one family with a need for extra space for the kids or guests. The dunplex bunkie needs only one electrical and water feed for both units. These plans include rough ins for factory doors and windows as well as a spacious 4 by 24 covered front deck that can also be divided at the center. The roof design incorporates a high load Queen Post Truss system on 16 inch centers, perfect for high snow loads. This design can even span across the back of a narrow lot to create a workshop on one side and a garden/potting shed on the other. You can finish the exterior with a variety of sidings, board and batten is recommended.
