You are bidding on 8 seeds of this Strelitzia reginae Aiton Mandela's Gold, Yellow Bird of Paradise or Yellow Crane flower. This Bird is quite different than the others as it has a gold crown on it's head and is perched upon a stalk that has no significant leaves. Growing up to 6 feet tall, and hardy to 20 - 25 degrees or zone 9 and above. Ideal conditions are full sun, rich, well-drained loam soil with a pH of approximately 7.5, regular deep watering in summer and liberal applications of fertilizer in early summer. I ship all my seeds and plants on Monday or Tuesday to avoid holdovers in unfavorable conditions in warehouses.
