Beautiful Wu Cai Square Chinese Porcelain Vase 16.2"H DESCRIPTION | S&H | PAYMENT | RETURN POLICY | PACKING | ABOUT US Description  TOP A beautiful wu cai square Chinese porcelain vase, painted with two pictorial scene panels on each facet, the upper part with human figures at play in the garden, the lower portion with shou-animal (Chinese characters for "shou" (longevity) and "animal" are homonym) in the landscape, a band of lotus panels around the foot, four lion mask handles and attached loops on each long neck; six-character mark on the bottom. wucai ("five colors" or "polychrome"): an extension of overglaze decoration of the Song-Yuan period, in which underglaze-blue decoration was combined with three or more overglaze colors.
