ANTIQUE CAST IRON HANGING POT WITH POURING SPOUT-RARE-NR...NOTICE-5 DAY AUCTION...This is a very early cast iron hanging pan with attached wrought iron handle. It was recently found in a 30 plus year collection and was one of the earliest items purchased in the collection. It has the owners tag on it showing it to be number 7 in the collection. I believe this is a rare form, having a wonderful wrough iron split handle and a pouring spout molded into the pan. There are also three small "feet" molded into the bottom of the pan. It is 8 1/2 inches tall and is 11 inches in diameter not counting the pour spout. It is in excellent as found condition-no holes, cracks, repairs, or restorations. It is rusty and crusty-I have not attempted to clean it or anything as I am not an expert and do not want to do anything that might hurt it. This is a special piece of early American cast iron cookware and would be a very nice addition to your collection. I am listing it with no reserve so have fun bidding. Shipping of $10 to be paid by buyer. Bid with confidence as your satisfaction is guaranteed. Don't forget this is a five day auction! Check out my other items! |
