Description
Neodymium magnets are the latest in rare earth magnet innovation. They are the most powerful permanent magnets in the world! A
neo magnet is 7 times stronger than a conventional ceramic magnet, to give you an idea of their strength. They are used
in a wide variety of applications such as toys, speakers, generators, motors, therapy, stud finders, dent removal, tool holders,
science experiments, education, jewelry, magic tricks, and water processing to name a few. If you have never dealt with a neodymium
magnet before you will be amazed by its power!
Incredible Magnets only carries patent licensed NdFeB magnets!

What are neodymium magnets?
Neodymium magnets are a member of the rare earth family and are currently the strongest permanent magnets in the world! They are
composed of neodymium, iron and boron (NdFeB).
How do I pronounce neodymium?
Nee-oh-dim-e-um.
N35, N40, N42...what do they mean?
Neodymium magnets come in a variety of grades ranging from N35 to N53, measured in units millions of Gauss Oersted (MGOe). Generally
speaking, the higher the grade the stronger the magnet.
What does pulling force mean?
Pulling force is a measure of magnetic strength. It is the amount of force required to remove a magnet parallel to a solid magnetic
surface, such as a steel plate.
How are these magnets polarized?
Axially
Do I have to worry about temperature with neodymium magnets?
Yes. Neodymium magnets are sensitive to heat. For standard grades their maximum normal operating temperature is 175°F (80°C). If heated above 175°F (80°C), they will begin to permanently
lose part of their magnetic strength. If heated above 590°F (310°C), also known as their curie
temperature, they will lose all magnetic strength.
Why are neodymium magnets coated?
Neodymium magnets are coated in nickel to prevent oxidation (rust). Our magnets have a triple layer of coating: Nickel +
Copper + Nickel.
If I stack two neodymium magnets together, does their strength double?
Yes. For example, two magnets rated with an individual pulling force of 50 lbs will have a combined pulling force of 100 lbs when
stacked together.
Do I need to be wary of electronics around neodymium magnets?
Yes. As a general rule of thumb try to avoid close contact between magnets and electronic media. Displays such as televisions and
computer monitors are easily damaged.
Should I be aware of any health or safety issues with neodymium magnets?
People with pacemakers or similar medical devices should never handle magnets of any type. There are no known health issues regarding
exposure to magnetic fields. To the contrary, it is believed that exposure to magnetic fields can be used as pain relief from
conditions such as arthritis, back pain, muscle spasms and carpal tunnel syndrome.
Large neodymium magnets should be handled properly to avoid personal injury and damage. It is very easy to pinch fingers or other
body parts between attracting poles.
Neodymium magnets are brittle and prone to chipping. Never drill or cut a neodymium magnet without an expert machinist.
Keep neodymium magnets away from children under the age of 3. If swallowed, they can be lethal.
Do neodymium magnets lose strength over time?
If not heated above 175°F (80°C), neodymium magnets only lose about 1% of their strength every 10 years.
What do you mean when you say "patent licensed" neodymium magnets?
Incredible Magnets only carries patent licensed neodymium magnets from ISO certified manufacturers. Certain manufacturing processes
are patented and require royalty payments to the patent holders. All of our neodymium magnets are patent licensed and can be legally
sold or used in the US and Canada.
Is cheaper always better when it comes to magnets?
Not necessarily. Certain companies sell non-licensed, illegal magnets from manufacturers that recycle material. We offer high quality
magnets at competitive prices. You get what you pay for.
